Union of Producers and Exporters of Horticultural Crops in Egypt (UPEHC)
The Union of Producers and Exporters of Horticultural Crops (UPEHC) is established in Cairo, and includes those who wish to participate in its membership of the producers and the exporting producers of the horticultural crops such as Vegetables, Fruits, Medicinal & aromatic plants and also Ornamental plants.
The Union is affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture and is composed of members of the following categories:
1. The economical units affiliated to the public sector, if working in the field of production of horticultural crops.
2. Agricultural co-operative societies.
3. Farmers of the private sector who are working in the production of horticultural crops.
UPEHC’s objectives are:
1. The Scientific development of the cultivation of horticultural crops.
2. Increasing the agricultural area for crops in both private and public sectors.
3. Developing the country’s total exports of the products of such crops as well as other agricultural products that did not achieve sufficient exporting value.
4. Increasing the income of the agriculture producer through increasing the production of the area he cultivates and raising the prices of the crops he produces.
